Number of building modules: 14 Features: This 8-unit assisted living facility was carefully designed in collaboration with BC Housing to address heavy snow fall conditions and handicap accessibility in winter as well as the special comfort, security and safety requirements for senior residents. The design maximized the use of factory-built modular components to minimize the amount of on-site work and the construction timeline in a region with limited on-site labour and a short building season. The one-storey building includes live-in nursing care, centralized dining, a lounge and indoor scooter storage. The one-bedroom suites feature living rooms, small kitchens, roll-in showers and roll-through storage closets as well as hardware and fixtures selected specifically for use by elderly residents.
