Features:
This turnkey project included site preparation, foundation and site services. The washroom building is located at one of the ferry terminals on Vancouver Island and was designed to BC Ferries’ architectural guidelines for an extremely heavy traffic volume.
Large, high windows at the front, back and above the doors maximize natural light. Tile covered walls and seamless, heavy-wear vinyl flooring provide ease of cleaning and maintenance. Auto shut-off interior lights reduce energy costs, metered faucets and auto-flush toilets reduce water consumption.
The building was designed with overhangs to protect against inclement weather and add architectural interest. Heavy gauge metal siding and a secured chase running the length of the building between the washrooms greatly reduces the potential of vandalism. The walk-in accessible chase houses all plumbing manifolding, HVAC ductwork, sprinkler lines and electrical.

This washroom facility was designed for the women of the DND Army base. The building has 13 toilets and sinks with a separate shower area and is supplied by two 100 gallon natural gas hot water tanks.
The exterior is finished with maintenance-free metal siding and a factory-built truss roof with metal roofing to prevent snow from accumulating in the winter months. Narrow windows with obscure glass along both sides of the building allow natural light without compromising privacy.
