This temporary school annex was designed to match the existing school and consists of 11 classrooms and a science lab divided by a 16' vaulted corridor. A specialized floating slab foundation was built to protect against poor soil conditions. The classroom modules were designed with an open web steel joist roof system and sound-absorbing perforated steel decking system. The heating system is controlled with an advanced system of set-back functions designed to minimize gas consumption and individual classroom gas-fired unit ventilators with programmable built-in controls. The direct digital control intruder alarm system features remote monitoring capabilities.
