This two-storey daycare was designed to take advantage of the steep, sloping site with a modular main floor constructed above a site-built lower floor and crawl space. There are three distinct areas in the building that allow for the separation of children by age group, two on the main floor and one on the lower floor. Each floor has a “sunshine corner”, multiple windows and a raised ceiling accentuated by coloured trim to provide a bright and positive learning environment.
