Official Contest Rules

1. PRODUCT RENTAL OR PURCHASE REQUIRED: This contest (“Contest”) is open to residents of British Columbia who are aged nineteen (19) years or older as of May 15,, 2009, who are employed full-time by a company which executes a rental or sales agreement with BLL during the Contest Period and otherwise comply with all the conditions of these rules. See Rule 5 for additional eligibility requirements. The Contest begins on May 15, 2009 at 12:01am Pacific Time (“PT”) and ends December 31, 2009 at 11:59 pm PT (the “Contest Period”).

There are two (2) ways to enter:

If an eligible entrant is a BLL customer who has rented or purchased a BLL product in 2009 before the start of the Contest Period, they will receive one entry into the Contest.
If an entrant executes a rental or purchase agreement for a BLL product during the Contest Period, they will receive one entry into the Contest.

LIMIT one (1) entry per rental or purchase agreement. By submitting an entry, entrants acknowledge that they have read, understood, are eligible for and agreed to abide by these Official Contest Rules.

2. PRIZES: There are three (3) 2010 Winter Games Grand Ticket Prize Packages (“Grand Prizes”) available to be won, consisting of:

two (2) tickets to the men’s gold medal ice hockey game at Canada Hockey Place to be held in February, 2010.
two (2) tickets to the men’s bronze medal ice hockey game at Canada Hockey Place to be held in February, 2010.
two (2) tickets to a Team Canada men’s preliminary ice hockey game at Canada Hockey Place to be held in February, 2010.

There are seven (7) 2010 Winter Games Monthly Ticket Prize Packages (“Monthly Prizes”) available to be won, consisting of two (2) tickets to a 2010 Winter Games sports event.

Approximate retail value of each Grand Prize ranges from $500 to $1,500. The approximate retail value of each Monthly Prize is $300 but may vary depending on the event. Prizes consist of event tickets only and winner is solely responsible all costs and expenses (including but not limited to travel to the event) relating to the use of the prize.

BLL reserves the right to substitute a prize of equivalent value if any component of the prize cannot be awarded as described.

Event Tickets which are accorded as prizes must be accepted as awarded, are subject to VANOC’s terms and conditions of use applicable to all ticketholders, and are subject to change without notice. For the avoidance of doubt, Event Tickets are not exchangeable for cash, may not be used in connection with any commercial promotion or contest and may not be sold for more than the face value of the ticket.

3. DRAW: A random draw will be held on or around January 7, 2010 to select three entries from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period for the Grand Prizes. On or around June 7, 2009 and occurring on or around the seventh day of each succeeding month up to and including January 7, 2010, a random draw will be held to select one entry from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period, up to and including the date of the random draw, for a Monthly Prize. Entrants are limited to winning one Monthly Prize and one Grand Prize. The chances of winning are dependent upon the total number of eligible entries received.

4. NOTIFICATION: The selected entrants will be notified by telephone or email using the personal information provided on the product rental or purchase agreement. . To be declared a winner, the selected entrant must correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by telephone. At least two attempts over the ten business days following the draw will be made to contact the selected entrant. If a selected entrant cannot be contacted in this manner, that entrant will be disqualified and another entrant will be selected from the remaining eligible entrants. BLL is not responsible for the failure for any reason whatsoever, including its own negligence, of a selected entrant to receive notification or for BLL to receive a selected entrant's response. Before being declared a winner, each selected entrant must sign BLL's declaration and release form to: (a) accept the prize as awarded and confirm compliance with these contest rules; (b) release, waive and forever discharge all right, in contract or tort, to damages against BLL or its affiliates for any loss or injury sustained as a result of accepting the prize, and (c) consent to the use of his/her name, address, photograph or likeness for any publicity purpose connected with this contest, without any further compensation, other than the prize offered. The signed declaration and release form may be returned to BLL by mail, fax or email (in scanned PDF format) and must be received by BLL within four days of delivery thereof to the selected entrant, failing which that entrant will be disqualified and BLL may, in its sole and exclusive discretion, select another entry from remaining eligible entries or, alternatively, may elect not to award the prize.

5. ELIGIBILITY: PRODUCT RENTAL OR PURCHASE REQUIRED. Contest open to B.C. residents 19 years of age or older who are employed full-time by a company which executes a rental or sales agreement with BLL during the Contest Period. Employees of BLL, and persons with whom such employees reside, are not eligible. In any event, BLL shall have exclusive discretion to deem which entries are valid and meet all the conditions of these rules.

6. MISCELLANEOUS: Entrants who have not complied with these Official Contest Rules are subject to disqualification at the exclusive discretion of BLL. Prize is not transferable and must be accepted as awarded with no substitutions in cash or otherwise, except at BLL’s sole and exclusive discretion. All decisions of BLL are final in all matters relating to this contest. No correspondence will be entered into by BLL with respect to this contest, except with the selected entrant. BLL reserves the right to terminate or amend this contest at any time without prior notice, if it considers that any factor may potentially interfere with its proper conduct as contemplated by these Official Contest Rules. This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws.

7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY: All intellectual property, including but not limited to copyright and trademarks, in all of the promotional materials, web pages and source code related to the Contest are owned by BLL. All rights are reserved. Copying or unauthorized use of any such copyrighted material or trademarks without the express written consent of BLL is strictly prohibited.

8. PRIVACY: BLL will use the personal information provided on the product rental or purchase agreement to administer the Contest and contact you if you are selected as the winner. This information will not be disclosed to other parties without your explicit consent, unless BLL is obligated to disclose the information under the provisions of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
